Summer will be here before you know it—seriously! That means it’s time to start thinking about your summer plans and how to stay in shape during figure skating’s off-season.
Summer skating camps are perfect for honing in the skills you didn’t have time to master during competition season. They are opportunities to meet fellow skaters from across the country and to work with some of the best and most renowned coaches in figure skating.
Summer of Excellence is a premier training camp taking place at the Toyota Sports Center in Los Angeles from June 9 through July 25. An Olympic, World and National coaching staff is dedicated to training skaters in everything from technique to choreography. Audrey Weisiger, a longtime Riedell supporter, two-time U.S. Olympic Team coach and Grassroots to Champions founder, will be one of many special guests participating in the training camp. Register before March 31 to take advantage of discounted early enrollment pricing.
Another great option for those hoping to improve their skating skills this summer is the Point of Perfection skating camp in Breezy Point, Minn. This instructional camp combines on- and off-ice training with other fun outdoor activities. Point of Perfection runs from June 15-20, with both overnight and daytime options available. Register before April 18 for early enrollment pricing.
