There are so many things I love about figure skating: seeing different places, meeting new people and doing fun things! I recently traveled to Pittsfield, Massachusetts for a skating competition so I got to stay in a hotel and swim in the heated pool (which was so much fun!). I think I was having a little too much fun because I somehow scraped my foot on the bottom of the concrete pool, leaving my foot very, very sore a day before the competition.
When I woke up the next morning my foot still hurt, but as soon as I put on my 10-day-old lightweight Riedell skates my foot felt better! I think it was the padding inside the boot that helped keep my feet comfortable. That day I competed in 3 events—freestyle, interpretive and showcase— and I won gold in each! Thanks Riedell for saving the day!
PS- Thanks for the Pittsfield FSC for a fun event. The friendly people and home-cooked food were the best!
It’s no secret we use genuine leather for many of our boots, but did you know we offer vegan friendly materials too?! It’s part of our mission to make skates for EVERYBODY. ice.riedellskates.com/custom... See MoreSee Less
